Premium Fabrications is a leading provider of precision engineering and manufacturing solutions based in Rochdale, Greater Manchester.

Specialists in the manufacture and machining of high-containment processing products and components for the UK’s most demanding industries. 

As part of the Langfields group, we are able to provide a complete package, from design to delivery, quickly and efficiently without compromising on service or quality.

Premium Fabrications Limited was started in 2018 by husband and wife team, Justin and Barbara Smyth.

Drawing on Justin’s 35+ years of experience—rising from a shopfloor sheet metal worker to a contracts manager—Justin and Barbara launched the business from a friend’s Heywood barn with just a single fabricator.

Within its first 12 months, the company experienced rapid growth, quickly expanding the team to include additional fabricators, a welder, and a dedicated labourer/driver.

By early 2019, having outgrown the original units in Heywood, we began searching for a larger facility. While we initially focused on remaining local, we had to look further afield to accommodate our expanding operations.

By September 2019—only 18 months after our launch—we had successfully relocated to a larger facility in Stockport, where we were able to expand our shop floor and office teams.

This growth continued rapidly; by February 2021, we successfully passed our audit for the ISO 9001:2015 quality management system, a standard of excellence we are proud to sustain.

In June 2022, we returned back to Rochdale when we moved into our current unit on the Transpennine Trading Estate.

This expansion allowed us to grow our team to 28 staff members, launch a dedicated machining company, and to invest in the future through career progression and sheet metal apprenticeships.

In November 2024, Premium Fabrications Ltd entered an exciting new chapter by joining the Langfields Group. This strategic partnership secures our future and fuels our growth within the stainless steel fabrication sector.
